Light academia...

I recently became very interested in aesthetics. All of them in general, are very different and I find them intriguing.

For my main aesthetic that I found out about recently is Light academia, I decided I am going to talk about it this week and also about other types of aesthetic.

 

Light Academia is an aesthetic which is Dark Academia's emotional opposite. This suggests that it consists of lighter visuals and themes. It includes enjoying life's little things, and life in general: the outdoors, enjoying others' company, and the warmth of those around you. It also includes an interest in literature, music, art, history, in general, and learning. In concept, Light Academia is rather Eurocentric, concentrating on classical and Renaissance architecture and art, both of which come from Europe. The fundamental ideals of the aesthetic, however, are not these things. The most critical aspect, instead, is a passion for learning and a love for life. There are things you can do no matter where you come from, and yes, if there is anything else about the "classical" art from which you come, include it in your aesthetics as well.
