Literature…

Books is something I always had a passion for. I had been a bookworm since I learned how to read. My passion never died out, just routine of reading books did, which I am really sad about. I recently started to read again which is always good. The thing I always struggle with was picking a book to read. Yes, I know when it comes to things I like, I am very picky. As always I am writing in the dark sitting on my bed as I am getting cozy with my hot chocolate. Let us begin….

  1. The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien This book has been my friend for a very long time. I always seem to come back to it and I will never stop reading it. The landscape portraited in this book is filled with creativity and originality somewhere I would love to be myself. World created such as Middle Earth is the definition of a perfect world I would live in. The entire world is build with its own rich history, cities and characters. Design and stories behind each character is its own story which I absolutely cherish. The world and characters go together in such a harmony, it almost feels like this big world in authors mind actually exists.

  2. Norse Mythology by Neil Gaimen He is one of my favorite writers that I recently stumble upon, he has a interesting way of telling stories. One of my favorite book from the author is about Norse mythology which I find quite fascinating. I would also say that I truly enjoyed American Gods, it has engaging tales of Native American mythology.

  3. Crime and Punishment by Fjodor Mihajlovič Dostojevski I will never forget about my first experience with this book. At first I thought this was one of those cliché and boring books as I read first few pages. As soon as it comes to the part of griotique murder, I absolutely loved it. The story just kept pulling me in, I would never in a million years thought a story like that would make me want to know more and more about history and author itself. I still to this day will always be grateful for this piece of fine work.

  4. La Divina Commedia by Dante Alighieri This is one of those books I read when I was taking class in European art literature which I definitely loved. As soon as my professor mentioned that it talks about beliefs of afterlife, I was hooked. The way hell is described in this story is absolutely how I always imagine it to be. I believe this is one of those old books that everybody should read and really understand it, the meaning behind it really made me even more interest in his work.

  5. An Event in the Town of Goga by Slavko Grum I remember this book as I am writing in my history literature class. If you love a horror or a very grotesque ambient you will absolutely adore this hidden gem. It holds a very deep meaning, so read it carefully.
